ProblemPossible Solutions
iTach IP2IR unit will not transmit IR codes or transmission is intermittent.
  • Check that the iTach IP address is not conflicting with another device IP on the network. Change the iTach IP address to another address that does not conflict, or set the iTach MAC address in the Router.
  • Check in the Portal in the Device Config: Spanner Settings that the IP Connection is set to TCP and the Always-on radio button is enabled.
IP-controlled device not responding to commands or has sluggish response.
  • Check in the Portal in the Device Config: Spanner Settings that the IP Connection is set to TCP and the Always-on radio button is NOT enabled.
Device not responding to power macro commands.
  • Check in the Portal in the Device Config: Spanner Settings that the Power ON and Power OFF settings are set to With Zone and the Manual selection is NOT enabled. This is applicable to IR, Serial and IP-based devices.
The Power On and Off buttons do not work, but the other commands for the associated devices do work.
  • The Power On and Off button is activated by a long press, 0.5 seconds.
IP Device is not responding to commands.
  • The Device may have an IP conflict. Ping the IP address that belongs to that device.
